Contributes in defining the strategic direction for the business line by providing inputs from own function and work with all other peer managers to ensure that all functions are aligned with and support the overall strategy.
Directs preparation of the annual Operating, Business Plans and capital expenditure budget for the function, ensuring that adequate funding provision is made available for all activities related with his functions.
Monitors expenditure against approved levels on a regular basis and investigates and justifies significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.
Reviews the organization structure and operational processes of function, studies and recommends changes to optimize the workings of function as appropriate to optimize efficiencies and effectiveness.
Manages the function by developing and implementing policies, procedures and guidelines in alignment with the vision and technical specifications and standards where applicable to ensure efficient delivery of the function’s mandate.
Oversees handling of litigation, arbitration and other proceedings.
Monitors relations with third party legal specialty firm or law enforcement entity.
Oversees coordination between regions and HQ for litigation matters.
Identifies and oversees implementation of any legal best practices to improve responsiveness, performance and cost effectiveness.
