  • Responsible for managing, directing, and controlling the contracts functions for multiple contracts of the most important vendors contracted by the company.
  • The Contract Manager is responsible for analyzing the VTMIS contract and draft a detailed report related to the scope of each member of the GME especially on the Civil work area
  • The contract manager must have a considerable experience in working on public contract especially on Civil Works area
  • He must have a legal background and Civil works and construction education
  • Provides management with monthly updates on status of implementation progress of contracted scope from vendor, arising issues and impact on company’s business.
  • Reviews and manages contractual obligations of the parties and tracks the implementation progress of the project in coordination with Technology Project team, Operations team and Sourcing team e.g equipment delivery time lines, systems upgrades, etc.
  • Prepares, organizes and maintains contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance including equipment delivery notes, Provisional and Final Acceptance certificates liquidated damages claims.
  • Provides continual review to ensure all terms and conditions are met
  • Prepares and disseminates information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, etc.
  • Alerts Project Director on supplier deviations from contractual obligations (e.g committed SoW and PIP), delays in equipment delivery, shortages in delivered BoQ, malfunctioning equipment, etc) and notifies the supplier on those deviations and potential contractual implications e.g LDs or legal proceedings
  • Keep track of all additional SoW changes requested (CRs) throughout the life of the agreement.
  • Establishes core contract management processes in order to monitor and manage contract compliance including change control
  • Identifies risks and issues, suggests alternatives that lead to best solution
  • Proactively work with the suppliers and company’s teams to resolve contractual issues, interfacing with Legal as needed
  • Coordinate with Finance and alert them on vendor reaching milestones triggering payments as per contract
  • Provides Treasury the required information whether the BG need to be extended or redeemed from bank according to vendor performance
  • Assess any applicable penalties, Liquidated Damages, and service credits based on continuous performance monitoring
  • Responds to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions
  • Ability to draft and negotiate moderate to complex, routine contractual terms
  • May conduct research to support contract audit and or facilitate business unit contracting trends.
  • Performs contract closeout activities.
  • Analyze and incorporate any change requests as appropriate during the life cycle of the contract
  • Attend regular review meetings with vendors and stakeholders and take any actions required to resolve commercial issues
  • Acts as primary contact between project team and/or business unit and Legal, ensuring all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly
  • Develops and integrates Contract Management tools, templates, methods and processes
