  • Manage commercial and contractual matters downstream to Supply Chain and upstream to the Customer during the delivery phase including managing variations to contract scope and implementing the resultant amendments to supply chain subcontracts and the customer contract.
  • Provide guidance, support and advice to the project team to enable them to adhere to contractual obligations, company processes and company procedures including delivery progress reviews.
  • Provide guidance, support and advice to the project team to assist them in understanding the contract requirements to conclude on-site delivery.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that commercial / contractual risks are reported, managed, mitigated, with risk assessments performed as required.
  • Ensure the commercial and contractual interests of the company are protected at all times by pursuing allowable contract claims and remedies with the customer and supply chain where the contract circumstances allow.
  • Ensure adequate and proper contract records are maintained.
  • Create and maintain co-operative working relationships with sub-contractors, suppliers and the customer.
  • Significant Post Contract Commercial Management experience, including managing multiple subcontracts and the customer contract – Essential.
  • Managing variations and implementing resultant subcontract and customer contract amendments – Essential.
  • Managing Extension of Time, Loss & Expense claims and implementing mitigation strategies and/or pursuing with the customer – Essential.
  • Provision of the Post Contract Commercial Management services in an IT / Telecomms / environment, inside an ISO9000 framework – Desirable/Advantageous.
  • Good negotiation and contract management skills – Desirable/Advantageous.
  • Good understanding of contractual terms relating to CAPEX and OPEX investment / sales – Desirable.
  • Wide experience of drafting contract terms – Desirable.
  • Experienced in managing the commercial aspects of high value, high complexity projects – Desirable.
